BLE keyboard in Cloud mode

The BLE keyboard emulation feature allows the VTAP100-PRO-BW reader to send tap data to a host device, such as a tablet, laptop or POS terminal, as keyboard input. This is similar to the VTAP USB keyboard emulation, except that it uses a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection instead of the VTAP USB keyboard wedge.

The VTAP100-PRO-BW reader allows simultaneous Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, enabling concurrent connection to the VTAP Cloud and a nearby Bluetooth host.

The VTAP100-PRO-BW reader will be configured through the VTAP Cloud with the BLE keyboard emulation settings to suit your application.

To connect your VTAP100-PRO-BW reader to a Bluetooth host device, follow these steps:

Scan and pair with the Bluetooth name that’s assigned to your VTAP100-PRO-BW reader. (By default it will be the serial number for the device, of the form 'CC123456').
Depending on your application, you may need to enter the VTAP reader's Bluetooth PIN. (By default there is no PIN set.)

You can now start sending data over the Bluetooth keyboard emulation.
